An open platform is NOT the same as open source. An open platform just means that they can access additional content from various places, (which is all the article indicates) but open source means that anyone can contribute to the platform, software etc and suggest changes and improvements when Amplify come to release the next version. I very much doubt this is the case and the article doesn't include information to back up this claim. I would say that it is an extremely misleading statement.

I am very concerned that this article may be misleading ..... it states that Amplify is 'open source'. In what way exactly is Amplify open-source? There is nothing in the article to indicate this.
