Good post. I too have bounded expectations for the younger maker development. Hopefully, the Maker Fairs will encourage more people to explore the new world of creative thinking. The days when technology lagged behind our imagination is slowly closing. Granted the tools are still too intimidating, but I do see progress as kids develop the neccessary computing skills at younger levels.

I look forward to seeing what these young fertile minds can develop over the coming years. They young do not yet know what they cannot do, so they are apt to try and find new ways of doing things. Always worth watching the young people play. They see a world of unbounded possibilities.

I wonder where we lost that perspective.
