I once saw a full-page advert for Siri in the New Yorker. The human had asked: "What does poison oak look like?" Siri replied: "This may answer your question", with a photograph of... poison ivy.

I think the oral interface is a great way to make technology more accessible to people.

Talking and asking questions is a normal part of social interaction. Advancing technology to engage in dialog is a great way to "Humanize" the acceptance and control the amount of information transferred to the user. Some people are completely overwhelmed by the amount of data on their smart phones and computers. Having voice control can reduce the information to just the requested data. Keeping things simple enhances the experience.
