What an amazing offer. As a Roving Reporter I would relish the opportunity to visit trade shows such as CES in Las Vegas, Global Sources purchasing fairs in Hong Kong, electronica in Munich, or even a Maker Faire - and document the experience, new technologies and ideas to be found at each event in text and video. Such content would be an ideal 'next step' from my current writings at tronixstuff.com.

Truly an amazing offer. I would be excited about attending The 20th International World Wide Web Conference (WWW 2011) from 28th March 2011 to 1st April 2011 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Hyderabad, India. This show integrates technology with the user experience. This would be an exciting opportunity to explore world knowledge and practices with current technical thinking. Fortunately for me, I have a background in writing (have a best seller published in 7 languages)and creating media (developed a web TV station for a local San Francisco Bay Area firm).

I am skilled in both audio & video production and would be able to deliver top-notch content. Also, I need a trip to anywhere! (I never get out of town.) I'm fascinated with anything to do with electronics and would soak it up like a sponge then "wring" out the experience to the Element-14 community.

Hi, my name is Joaquin and the event that would be absolutely fantastic just to attend let alone report on would be the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have always loved electronics but have never had the funds to do what I would have liked to do. I was actually planning on going to CES this year but that plan slowly died as to lack of money. Not only would this be a great and wonderful experience but it could help me enter into a career that I have always wanted to do. I am not going to pull any legs, I dont have much experience into reporting but my knowledge, great personality and the strive to always want to push ahead and do awesome will make your decision to pick me, a great decision that you will not regret.

Any electronics trade show would be acceptable but if it is in UK then that would be perfect as i really much want to meet friends from farnell and E14 there and UK is near where i live.

In my opinion, the one show that I think more people should attend is the IEEE/MTTS show. Over 600 manufacturers and vendors attend and you actually get to meet the people you end up emailing and talking to over the course of the year. It is also a show that the NEWARK team would also benefit from.

I hope that I could have a chance to join CES, one of the biggest resource to find qualified competitive vendor, stunning new technology and products.

I am attending Embedded World in 2011 with my company, Apacer, but I would die to go again to CES in Las Vegas. Why pick me? Because I am special (joking); because I love the event and I love Vegas.

I think it would be great to go to any Electronics trade show, I am a apple Tech so I would not mind going to Macworld to see what it is like with out apple there... Plus then I can go back to my job and show what I learned to some of the schools I work for in the midwest....

Great offer, would like to attend to Electronica in Germany. I've been working in the electronic industry since 1989 and have attended most of the APEX/NEPCON shows but never had a chance to attend the Electronica.

I would love to attend E3. Electronics and entertainment... what's cooler than that? In addition, I would revel in the chance to get out from behind the desk for a while and spend my time talking to other enthusiests and sharing my experiences first hand with your community.

As for why you should select me, I would humbly suggest that I have the passion and experience to produce content that your community would enjoy. I have been a software developer for 10 years and a computer geek my whole life. I am naturally curious about all things digital and to be candid, I believe I have communication skills and social graces that are somewhat rare in our industry.

Microcontrollers, audio, peripherals... It would be like browsing farnell/cpc on a Sunday morning for new cool stuff (one of my favourite recreational activities- R&D & R again), but 3D. And then came the gadgets...

I would love to go to CES 2011 and talk about it.

I would love to go to CES in Vegas. Why would I be a good canidate? Good question. Not only am I a old school modder but recently I have gone back to school at ITT Tech in there CEET program. I am also a full time actor which allows me to go any where, talk to any one and get the scoop. I have always enjoyed electronics and recetly been toying with the idea of a mod combining a briefcase, laptop with wireless conectivity, a stand, and a decent camera to make in essence a mobile Podcast studio. The only reason I have not done it is lack of finacial support.

I would love to go because I am young and it would be an inspiring experience for me to pursue a carrer in the electronics field. I know several people who will be there, or so says one of my friends. I am an avid reader of many tech blogs and have taken courses in journalism. Lastly, I have wanted to go to CES since I was 7.

I am a college student in the midwest majoring in Electrical Engineering and would love to give a student's perspective of CES 2011 in Las Vegas. Being an avid reader of online technology content especially topics that surround Silicon Valley, I will be will be very familiar with many of the companies that will attend the conference. I am very proficient in good design (using software such as Photoshop and Illustrator) as well as video creation software (Final Cut and After Effects). I also write a technology column for our college's newspaper making me a great candidate for keeping a diary via blogging. I understand social media very well and have a Klout score of 33 for my personal Twitter account. Also - I would definitely stay on task considering I'm not even old enough to enter casinos in Vegas!

I have been to Vegas many times.

I have been using computers since you needed to have the tape speed correct to install a program.

I am also the only FAA certified Instrument chief inpector in the state of Wisconsin. It helps that I have thirty plus years of experience in that field.

I have been following the advancement of technology all these years, always looking forward to what will be next. I have an open mind and a lot of experience.
