Oclaro to showcase diode-compatible laser pump modules at Laser 2009

Optical components provider Oclaro is set to debut a range of new products at this year's Laser World of Photonics event in Munich later this month.

Among them will be the latest in high-power multimode pump products, including for Thulium fibre and direct diode lasers for medical and defence applications, capable of being used in combination with the firm's diode products.

Dominik Jaeggi, Oclaro product line manager, said: "This expanded pump module portfolio demonstrates the capability at Oclaro to continuously innovate.

"We are developing scalable, flexible products that meet customer and application requirements, and will drive our growing presence in the high power laser diode market."

Among the products will be an eye-safe wavelength laser diode single emitter and bar product emitting around 1.5 micrometers.

The laser diode bar products deliver up to 30 W of continuous wave output power and are ideally suited to fibre coupled and pump laser applications.
