&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;A new valve position sensor has been designed to function in remote or potentially dangerous areas of a processing facility.&lt;span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The new XYR 6000 sensor technology from Honeywell is based on the Micro Switch CX.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It monitors the position of the system valve, carrying out hazardous location certifications.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It can be used in safety shower and eye bath notification, tank overflow alarms and to establish door and gate position.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When used as part of a safety shower notification system, it can be used as an emergency response trigger.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jeff Becker, global wireless business director at Honeywell Process Solutions, explained that the new sensor has &amp;quot;tangible benefits&amp;quot;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He said: &amp;quot;Incorporating OneWireless connectivity helps our customers benefit from increased safety and efficiencies provided by these technologies.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;quot;This new sensor eliminates the need for manual monitoring, which can provide tangible benefits for our customers when they apply them in the plant&amp;#39;s most hazardous and remote areas.&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The company recently released an enhanced version of its plant process simulation software.&lt;a href="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=19230973"&gt;&lt;img alt="ADNFCR-1785-ID-19230973-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=19230973" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
