A new series of capacitive sensors from Sensortechnics can take measurements through almost any non-metallic wall material.

The sensors have a range of up to 10cm and measure the fill level of liquids, granular and pulverised materials.

They can be mounted on the outside of a container or vessel, ensuring no contact between the sensor and fluid which eliminates sterility issues.

Sensortechnics CLC series also offers both analogue and digital outputs and are suitable for use in applications within the medical, chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

The high accuracy and reliability of the device is achieved using an additional reference electrode that compensates for changes in environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity.

This launch follows the unveiling of the firm's new digital HDI pressure sensors in November 2008, allowing for a total error band better than ±0.5%FSS.

The sensors feature unidirectional, bidirectional and barometric calibrations are are intended for use with air and non-corrosive gases.
