&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;A new ultra thin-optical proximity sensor has been made available by Avago Technologies.&lt;span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The analogue interface components supplier&amp;#39;s latest sensor is designed for use in a built-in signal conditioning integrated circuit, emitter and detector into a single package.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Avago Technologies&amp;#39; new product also offers both analogue and digital output options for easy installation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The firm recommends the new sensor for use in mobile phones, personal digital assistants, handheld games and notebook computers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The surface-mountable package is only 1.1mm thick and boasts a number of features that make it suitable for mobile devices, such as extended detection range and superior signal quality.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It also eliminates the need for an LED driver, signal filtering and amplification.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Other key features include the patented ambient light cancellation circuit , operational up to 100K lux to prevent false triggering.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It also has one of the longest detection distances available and sensing capabilities adjustable from 10kHz to 1MHz.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Meanwhile, Avago Technologies recently introduced two new two and four watt Ka band amplifiers, providing a high dynamic range.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=19243658"&gt;&lt;img alt="ADNFCR-1785-ID-19243658-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=19243658" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
