Two new varactor diodes have been added to Skyworks' product range, offering high breakdown voltage and tuning as high as 28 volts.

Additionally, the lead-free SMV1800-079LF and SMV1801-079LF feature low reverse leakage current, wide-tuning range, high capacitance ratio, low series resistance and an industry standard SC-79 footprint.

The devices are silicon hyperabrupt diodes designed for use in battery-operated handheld devices, FM tuners and low phase noise voltage-controlled oscillators.

Low resistance and specified high-capacitance ratio make them ideal for wideband VCOs used in wireless systems, while providing tighter control of the critical diode capacitance versus voltage specifications than other similar products on the market.

Skyworks recently announced that company executives will host a presentation at the upcoming Oppenheimer Annual Communications, Technology and Internet Conference on August 11th in Boston, US.

The presentation will be broadcast live over the internet and archived for replay for one week following the event.
