Celsia products chosen to cool LED spotlights

Celsia Technologies has been chosen by Taiwan-based firm United Innovation to cool the company's LED spotlights.

Each of the spotlights include a combination of unique multi-chip LED package along with Celsia's Nanospreader vapour chamber.

United Innovations' spotlights are designed to use the company's flip-chip LED package, which uses dozens of LEDs in one high-brightness, low-cost solution.

Celsia's cooling vapour chamber thermal technology allows the lights to dissipate heat faster and at a lower cost to other solutions on the market.

Tony Shen, chief technical officer for United Innovations, said poorly-designed thermal management solutions will damage both the luminosity and lifespan of LEDs.

"We believe that by combining Celsia's thermal solution with our flip-chip LED packages, United can offer some of the best cooled, most reliable and lowest cost LED lighting products in the market," he commented.

Earlier in the year, Celsia's Nanospreaders were chosen to cool the next generation of photovoltaic solar power arrays by Nathaniel Group.
