&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;Optical component and system design tools developer Optiwave Systems has announced the availability of the industry&amp;#39;s first optoelectronic circuit design software.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;According to the firm, OptiSPICE is the only software that enables the design and simulation of optoelectronic circuits - from laser drivers to transimpedance amplifiers, optical interconnects and electronic equalizers - at the transistor level.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;Dr. Jan Jakubczyk, president of Optiwave, said the product is the &amp;quot;next evolutionary step&amp;quot; in advanced simulation design software, providing designers with a reliable framework that can accurately predict signal behaviour in integrated circuits.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;&amp;quot;With OptiSPICE as the foundation of our opto-electronic circuit design software initiative, we&amp;#39;re now in a unique position to deliver a unified platform that enables the world&amp;#39;s top research and development labs,&amp;quot; added Optiwave&amp;#39;s director of optical systems Dr Jackson Klein.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;It follows the release of OptiSystem 8.0, the latest version of the firm&amp;#39;s optical communication system design suite of software.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
