&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;Argon ST has announced that it has been awarded a $49.7 million (£30.3 million) contract to provide research, development and analysis services for the US Navy.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;The work will involve providing system architecture in support of optoelectronic, radio frequency, acoustic sensors and special sensor systems.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;Scheduled to be completed over the next three years, the firm will begin with an estimated funding package of $5.4 million (£3.3 million).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;&amp;quot;The ISR market is a strategically important part of our business,&amp;quot; commented Kerry Rowe, president and chief operating officer of Argon ST.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;&amp;quot;This contract enables development of important technologies and systems in support of warfighters as well as protection of US forces, facilities and borders.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;Recently the firm was awarded $8.3 million (£5 million) to provide technology enabler development to the US Army&amp;#39;s Communications-Electronics Command Acquisition Centre in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, in a contract expected to last for three years.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
