Texas launches new single-chip circuit

A new family of single-chip integrated circuits from Texas Instruments has been designed to produce 50 per cent lower DC/DC implementation. The power management integrated circuits have been designed for portable electronics and implement all sequencing and default options to power-leading processors. Texas' TPS65070RSLT.TPS65070RSLT. and TPS65073 also have a discreet design that integrates three highly efficient 1.5A DC/DC step-down converters that support core processors, memory and I/O voltages. It follows the launch of the Texas' dual-channel, bipolar-input audio operational amplifier. The new component promises 60 per cent less noise and 50 per cent lower distortion compared to competitive devices. Texas' new component also supports multiple channels without significant power consumption in applications. This makes it ideal for broadcast studio equipment such as microphones, pre-amplifiers, analogue and digital mixing consoles and high-end A/V receivers and audio test and measurement equipment.
