&lt;span&gt;The passive components industry in China is quickly becoming one of the largest production hubs in the world, it has been revealed.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Research and Markets has just announced the addition of a document entitled China Sourcing Report: Passive Components 2009 to its offering.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;It explains that increasing customer demand for products is boosting output and the market for resistors is the fastest growing segment in terms of yield.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Furthermore, it is expected to increase by at least 20 per cent this year, meaning it will reach 850 billion units.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;The report also explains that manufacturers working in all sectors have a positive outlook for global overseas business, despite the economic downturn and a decline in export sales.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;At the end of last month, TG Daily reported that because of the increase in demand for LED backlit applications for notebooks and televisions, there could be a shortage of the devices.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=19448182"&gt;&lt;img alt="ADNFCR-1785-ID-19448182-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=19448182" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
