Baumer releases new retro-respective sensor

Baumer has announced that it is introducing a new retro-respective sensor FRDK 14 for use on transparent objects.

The new product has both red-light and laser versions and its photoelectric sensor can be adjusted quickly using a teach-in button. The laser sensor is designed for use on applications with higher precision requirements.

Due to the high sensitivity of the retro-reflective sensor, it can detect glass, PET bottle and transparent packaging safely.

The device also allows transparent foils to be positioned exactly and it is irrelevant whether objects are in front of the sensor or nearer the reflector.

Baumer continues by noting that the short adaption time "permits the sensor to be taught subsequently or to be adjusted to changing tasks via an external teach-in connection while the process is running".

Meanwhile, Farnell recently revealed that it is launching a new program that will make it easier for customers to make purchases from its website.
