&lt;span&gt;Two car manufacturers have offered a glimpse of the future by exhibiting vehicles with organic LED (OLED) technology in a prominent device.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;According to Plastics News, General Motors introduced its XTS Platinum concept for its Sedan, while Hyundai have unveiled its Blue-Will design.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Both of these cars feature OLED technology for the instrument panel display rather than traditional electronic screens.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;The news provider explained that the materials used make it lighter and more energy efficient, although a representative from GM Motors stressed that such technology cannot be used in cars yet.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Clay Dean, design director for company&amp;#39;s Cadillac division, told the website that these concepts are ideas for &amp;amp;quot;technology disciples&amp;amp;quot;, which offer glimpses of the potential that OLEDs can offer.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;The XTS Platinum was introduced at the North American International Show in Detroit on January 12th.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Meanwhile, Toshiba recently revealed that its TLxK LEDs are ideal for use in traffic signals, according to Electronics Talk.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=19567763"&gt;&lt;img alt="ADNFCR-1785-ID-19567763-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=19567763" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
