&lt;span&gt;Renowned electronics brand Philips Lumileds has announced the release of two new light-emitting diode lighting products, which it is claiming set new standards in terms of quality of light and energy efficiency.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;The company has unveiled its latest Luxeon Rebel illumination applications designed for use in hotels, shops and restaurants as well as in residential properties.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;These new emitters feature a &amp;amp;quot;thin-film flip chip&amp;amp;quot; and lumaramic phosphor technologies that help to reduce white colour binning and offer &amp;amp;quot;superior colour uniformity&amp;amp;quot; for its customers.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Furthermore, the firm suggested that they are the only power LEDs to offer &amp;amp;quot;specified angle over colour performance&amp;amp;quot;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Steve Barlow, executive vice-president of sales and marketing, proclaimed that Philips Lumileds is leading the way in terms of an industry transition from the semiconductor manufacturer to LED lighting industry partner.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Its diode-based business forms part of Royal Philips Electronics, which has its headquarters in the Netherlands and employs around 116,000 staff across a diversified range of interests.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=19815061"&gt;&lt;img alt="ADNFCR-1785-ID-19815061-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=19815061" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
