LED lighting firm to showcase latest innovations at Taiwan show

Taiwanese electronics component manufacturer GlacialLight is to display some of its latest innovations in LED lighting, including products with power saving and light dimming functions, at an industry event starting on Wednesday (June 9th).

Among its new innovations set to go on show at the three-day Photonics Festival in Taipei are new diode-based T8 tubes, released last month, which have energy consumption levels of just 10 watts in the 2 ft version and 20 watts from the 4 ft offering.

The organisation said the product is intended to replace cathode fluorescent lights currently on the market and is designed to look similar to its predecessor, but can deliver a brighter performance and less heat radiation.

Furthermore, GlacialLight was adamant that the built-in LED driver will not offer noise interference for sound sensitive household appliances such as TVs, radios and mobile phones.

Last year's Photonics Festival is estimated to have attracted around 35,000 visitors.
