Osram LED packs 'help light homes'

Osram has launched its LEDsDECO FLEX Starter Pack to help provide atmospheric lighting solutions for homeowners.

The company's starter pack contains three flexible lighting strips, a remote control, four connecting elements and a mains plug, providing all a person needs to brighten up at least one room of their home.

"Using an available adhesive tape and connecting elements, the flexible strips can not only be attached to a wide range of objects, but laid over edges and around corners, too," the company stated.

It added that energy-saving LED lighting is set to play a prominent role in interior design in the future, not least of which because it offers such a wide variety of styles and uses and is incredibly energy efficient.

Elsewhere, product manager of Rotary Switches & LEDs Mark Thorselland and Justin Moll, marketing manager of Elma Electronic, recently told readers of Design World that the flexibility of LED light tubes makes them ideal for a range of uses.

The pair added that the low energy consumption make these lighting sources ecologically sound, as well as financially viable for the masses.
