&lt;span&gt;Summit Semiconductor expects to see demand for its audio semiconductors driven by the growth in wireless audio for use in surround sound systems.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Newly spun off from parent firm Focus Enhancements, Summit Semiconductor specialises in developing integrated circuit (IC) technology to be incorporated into products such as wireless speaker systems.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;President and chief executive Brett Moyer says: &amp;quot;With the explosive growth of flat-panel digital televisions, 3D animation and game systems capable of decoding 5.1 and 7.1 content, analysts anticipate significant growth in wireless audio solutions.&amp;quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;He adds that his company&amp;#39;s semiconductors are able to provide for instant calibration of sweet spots and automatic set-up.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;The firm&amp;#39;s audio ICs are marketed under the Summit Wireless brand, with the FS848 said to enable wireless audio fidelity at a standard higher than that of wired speaker systems.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Summit Semiconductor adds that the chip was specifically designed to overcome some of the common difficulties encountered in setting up home speaker systems and distributing the audio signal.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=19916626"&gt;&lt;img alt="ADNFCR-1785-ID-19916626-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=19916626" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
