Keeping the heat in the load and away from the electrical connectors of the power supply is one way in which N2Power's DC-DC power supply family aims to improve efficiency and reduce overall cost.

The company explains that its green packaging keeps heat away from the power supply and instead leaves it in the load.

As a result, the dual electrical connectors are able to deliver up to 90 per cent efficiency in direct current to direct current (DC-DC) conversions.

The series consists of ten dual-output power supplies capable of delivering voltage outputs ranging from 12 to 56 volts for use in original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products.

Randy Johnson, general manager and vice-president of N2Power, says: "Our OEM customers requested DC input versions of the successful alternating current (AC) designs that they have been purchasing."

N2Power also offers seven AC-DC power supplies with voltage outputs ranging from 12 to 56 volts and the option to wire up to four together for total power output of 1,400 watts.
