&lt;span&gt;Electrical connectors for industrial applications could see growing demand in India as the country moves to a higher-voltage system of distributing power.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Analyst Frost &amp;amp; Sullivan forecasts the uptake of 765 kV grid distribution as Indian utilities look to reduce power loss during transmission.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Frost analyst Anup Barapatre says: &amp;amp;quot;Major participants are gearing up their manufacturing facilities to this changing paradigm with multinationals bringing technology from their parent companies while local participants are obtaining the technology through acquisition.&amp;amp;quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Manufacturers of electrical connectors capable of dealing with higher voltages within the distribution grid itself could find their products in demand as a result.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Revenues for transformers are predicted to benefit from the transition, rising by more than 50 per cent between 2009 and 2016.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;The figures are compiled by Frost&amp;amp;#39;s Energy and Power Systems growth partnership service, which highlights new technologies and expansion opportunities for operators in industries such as utilities, oil and gas, and fuel cells.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=800031388"&gt;&lt;img alt="ADNFCR-1785-ID-800031388-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=800031388" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
