The semiconductors used on POV/TGT GTX 460 Ultra Charged Graphics Cards allow for graphics processing up to a third faster than the reference design, according to the manufacturer.

Point of View, a producer of NVIDIA 3D processor video cards, has published details of testing of its graphics semiconductors.

The 824 MHz POV/TGT GTX 460 1GB Ultra Charged was the best performer, outpacing the 768 MB reference design by a third.

However, the 824 MHz POV/TGT GTX 460 768MB Ultra Charged also outperformed the reference design, despite having the suggested amount of onboard DDR5 memory.

While it did not match its more memory-equipped sibling, the card clocked in at 23 per cent faster than the reference.

The figures were compiled in independent testing undertaken by technology news provider Fudzilla.

According to the review, the faster performance is a result of the cards' treatment by the TGT overclocking team - making the POV cards "the fastest around".
