Optoelectronics companies 'hoping to increase production efficiency'

Supply chain efficiency and low costs are the most important things for firms, including optoelectronics organisations, producing parts for new flat-panel TVs, it has been suggested.

According to Hon Hai vice-president for the Greater China market David Hsieh, with shipments of the appliances totalling 180 million during 2010 and set to reach 228 million units in three years' time, the LCD TV is now a commodity.
