With dual microphones and the ability to remove wind noise from the signal passing through its audio connectors, a Bluetooth headset from Plantronics aims to produce high-quality sound whatever the weather.

Unveiled by the firm in recent days, the M100 Bluetooth Headset is the first in a sequence from Plantronics under its new brand identity and, in addition to the high-quality audio connectors used in its design, is also shipped in eco-friendly packaging.

Environmentally conscious consumers can expect to benefit from digital signal processing, with two-way communication to compatible devices meaning that iPhone users can see their headset's battery power level on the screen of their handset.

Automatic adjustment of sound output aims to compensate for the user's movement, providing a boost to volume if a noisy environment is encountered and similarly reducing the amplitude if background noise drops away.

In a previous release, Plantronics announced the Explorer 395 headset, designed for new users and featuring separate buttons for individual functions, rather than a multipurpose single button to master.
