&lt;span&gt;In news that may be of interest to wireless communication device manufacturers, it has been confirmed that Google&amp;amp;#39;s Nexus handset range is to get a 3rd generation model.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;According to Andy Rubin, senior vice-president of Mobile at Google and head of their Android arm, Google are keen to continue to deliver the hardware benchmark for phones carrying the operating system.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;amp;quot;The Nexus has been the thing that we used to set the bar, and there&amp;amp;#39;s always going to be new ones coming out in the market,&amp;amp;quot; he remarked.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;amp;quot;We&amp;amp;#39;ll make an announcement at some point in the future.&amp;amp;quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;In other industry news, Microsoft&amp;amp;#39;s Windows Phone 7 will be the best-selling smartphone operating system by 2015.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;This is according to a report by Pyramid Research, which found that Windows Phone 7 currently has a share of less than ten per cent of the market.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Android is the best seller at present, with a 45.4 per cent share of the market. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=800529458"&gt;&lt;img alt="ADNFCR-1785-ID-800529458-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=800529458" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
