&lt;span&gt;Wireless communication device manufacturers may be interested to hear that Microsoft is launching an operating system that departs from the traditional desktop screen.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Instead of a slew of icons, Windows Phone 7 users will be able to view information on the home screen, organised through a series of &amp;amp;#39;live tiles&amp;amp;#39;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;These &amp;amp;#39;live titles&amp;amp;#39; contain up-to-date information on friends, phone calls and tasks, Windows has confirmed.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Some analysts, however, have questioned whether Microsoft will have the marketing prowess to compete with the iPhone and Android.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;amp;quot;It could be the best phone in the world, but it&amp;amp;#39;s got to crack the code with the customer,&amp;amp;quot; telecom analyst Jeff Kagan told the Boston Herald.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;amp;quot;That means you have to get the customers to want it. You&amp;amp;#39;ve got to build a brand. Get sizzle.
