&lt;span&gt;A new report has suggested that the popularity of smartphones and tablet computers continues to soar in the UK, wireless communication device manufacturers may be interested to learn.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;KPMG&amp;amp;#39;s Media and Entertainment Barometer found that the devices offer media content companies a big revenue stream, the Independent has reported.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Indeed, it said that people &amp;amp;quot;cannot get enough of smartphones and tablets in the UK&amp;amp;quot;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;David Elms, KPMG head of media, commented: &amp;amp;quot;The popularity of these devices will continue to grow. People are becoming hungry for data. What we can see is that people are prepared to spend on content.&amp;amp;quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;He added: &amp;amp;quot;This is showing the way forward for media companies.&amp;amp;quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Last week, wireless communications device manufacturer Huawei confirmed that it had signed a pan-European framework agreement with Crewe-based distributor 20:20 Mobile.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Under the terms of the agreement, 20:20 will supply Huawei smartphones, tablets, dongles and mobile Wi-Fi hotspots across Europe.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Meinie Oldersma, 20:20 Mobile chief executive, observed that Huawei&amp;amp;#39;s ambition in the market made it an exciting company to work with.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=800576317"&gt;&lt;img alt="ADNFCR-1785-ID-800576317-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=800576317" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
