&lt;span&gt;New smartphones will have more advanced touchscreens.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;This is according to Dan Grabham, deputy editor of techradar.com, who explained that organic light-emitting diode technology will become commonplace in the future.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;amp;quot;The benefit is that these displays are far more energy efficient than LCD tech, while they can also be thicker and more robust,&amp;amp;quot; Mr Grabham explained.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;He added: &amp;amp;quot;They may also be able to be rolled up or folded - so it may be possible to have tablet-like devices and e-readers that you simply unroll.&amp;amp;quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Mr Grabham explained that he expects to see more smartphones used around the home.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Earlier this week, Huawei, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, confirmed that its first own-branded handset could hit the UK as early as September.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Thus far, the firm has focused its efforts on producing handsets for carriers.
