&lt;span&gt;Wireless communication device user Motorola has confirmed that it will bring its Fire smartphone to the UK next month.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;A budget Android smartphone, the new Fire model is designed for users wanting the combination of a touchscreen and a physical Qwerty keyboard.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Victoria McManus, UK marketing director at Motorola Mobility, commented: &amp;amp;quot;We are excited about extending our growing smartphone range in UK, and Motorola FIRE opens up new possibilities in the smartphone market.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;amp;quot;The device&amp;amp;#39;s stylish design and its exciting and versatile social media applications will wow younger, tech-loving users in particular.&amp;amp;quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;According to Motorola, the new model will feature a microSD card slot, dual-band HSDPA and quad-band Edge.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Research In Motion (RIM), meanwhile, recently released three Blackberry Curve smartphone devices running on its operating system, Blackberry 7.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;RIM unveiled the new Blackberry Curve 9350, Curve 9360 and Curve 9370 handsets.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;amp;quot;These new models will build on the incredible success of the Blackberry Curve line and further expand the largest global launch of Blackberry smartphones in our history,&amp;amp;quot; commented Mike Lazaridis, president at RIM.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Posted by Andre Dixon&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=800711394"&gt;&lt;img alt="ADNFCR-1785-ID-800711394-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=800711394" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
