Cloud does not undermine the importance of in-house IT staff, says Micirosoft

Microsoft Cloud has insisted that the rise of cloud computing need not mean that in-house IT staff become redundant, wireless communication device firms may be among those interested to know.

Simon May, client and cloud evangelist at the multinational computing firm, observed that while skills needed by tech workers would change, staff "who are able to guide people through the technological jungle" would always be necessary.

"It doesn't matter if you work for one of the major vendors or out there in the field for an organisation, what you provide is a localised level of intelligence that tailors a solution to the customer's emerging needs," he remarked.

"I don't think that's ever going to go away. You're always going to need people that are able to be a guide or a gatekeeper."

According to Mr May, it is very difficult for someone whose job it is to manufacture widgets to understand the latest bit of technology in the cloud.
