Wireless communication device manufacturer Samsung has offered to remove some features from its Galaxy Tab 10.1 in a bid to overturn a court-imposed sales ban in Australia.

The ban was introduced as Apple complained about an infringement on some of its patents.

According to reports, Samsung has offered to settle the dispute privately just to ensure that it can launch the tablet down under.

In response, it has been speculated that Apple called for time to consider the proposals.

But as the two sides are still to resolve the issue, they are set to meet in court tomorrow (October 4th).

In other industry news, Google confirmed recently that its intention of challenging Apple's iPhone in the lucrative wireless communication device market by announcing that it will launch the Samsung Nexus Prime in San Diego later this month.

It has been revealed that the new phone will run the latest version of the Android operating system, otherwise known as Ice Cream Sandwich.

Posted by Andre Dixon
