&lt;span&gt;New research has forecast a dramatic rise in smartphone usage in Australia, wireless communication device users may wish to know.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;By 2015, Telsyte said that almost 90 per cent of all mobile phone users will have a smartphone as their primary mobile device.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;This figure is up from just under 50 per cent at present.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;According to the research, Apple&amp;amp;#39;s iPhone will continue to have installed market leadership until around 2014.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Thereafter, though, the research suggested that Android devices will increasingly take the market share.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;amp;quot;Over the coming four years Telsyte estimates that more than 30 million smartphones will be sold in Australia creating a vibrant and competitive market for vendors, carriers and retailers,&amp;amp;quot; commented Foad Fadaghi, the research director at the firm.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Last week, meanwhile, it was confirmed that the Galaxy S II has sold over ten million units since it was launched in early 2011.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Therefore, the handset is the quickest-selling mobile device in the company&amp;amp;#39;s history.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;Posted by Simon Jones&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=800773736"&gt;&lt;img alt="ADNFCR-1785-ID-800773736-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1785&amp;amp;itemid=800773736" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
