Now no gentleman's outfit could be considered to be complete without the addition of a cape. Waterproof of course in order for it to provide protection for any ladies you may encounter caught in the British weather.

Take that idea and weave the garment from a nano-fibre, one that could switch between flexible and rigid with the merest 'flick'.

A deep puddle? Madam, allow me! Off it comes, flicked over the offending puddle and it provides a solid walkway to safety.

Retrieve the cape, flick it back into flexibility (a brief oscillation through the fabric should dislodge any stubborn water and detritus) and onto you it returns.

So, when nicking of ball onto bat happens, the Oscilloscope tracer will record the sounds. At the same time, a high speed camera records the ball passing the bat. The Oscilloscope Recorded trace is then played alongside the slow motion video of the ball passing the bat, and by the distortions happened in the sound wave we can determine whether ball hit the bat or any other object causing for Appeal.

A shiny walking cane. This could be fun! IoT connections to allow GPS and tracking of all Pub locations with preferred brand of Gin. Alerting when coming close to one for possible purchase of a drop or two. Also option to direct to nearest Pub with display stating distance/address when the need is sooner then casual proximity allows while traveling.

Maybe we need a walking stick with GPS, hand sensor, GSM link and accelerometer that will let you know when your ol' pop has strayed the wrong way while going to get his meds ... while providing you step-counting and emergency-calling in case of falling over and not being able to get up. Wireless charging seems to be the go nowadays ... pair it up with a nice rack to put it in and you'll never have to wonder about your pop again! Eyes too bad to use a phone, or always forgetting where the phone is? Not a problem anymore, because you won't be leaving the house without the walking stick right? I'll call this the Walking Stick+ - anything more fancy and those guys won't touch it!

Your walking stick of course needs a GPS to know when it is on the cricket pitch and transform into a cricket bat. It also needs satellite internet to know when to transform into a brolly. It should also have a camera built into the handle, so the stick becomes a monopod or a selfie stick as required. The stick is also a great size to build in a long range Wi-Fi or Bluetooth antenna. You no longer need to wield it as a sword in self defense because it has a built-in taser.

A nice coincidence discovered just now. I have moved my hands on a good and almost powerful laser engraver to complete the prototyping design of my components, at a reasonable price [View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-c2aa16cb-3066-4e0a-8545-1b40793a163f/contentimage_5F00_3.png:16:16] I adopted as for the 3D printer I already use, a DIY kit choice cheap and reliable. To document the 2.5A GearBest laser engraver I built I recently published also an instructable based on this experience (and in my next plans is also a complete RoadTest on Element14 showing in depth pros and cons)

Well, just today I saw that the same person that I contacted via Skype boring her with a lot of extra information on the machine has recently signed on Element14 as The specified item was not found. (shall we say hello welcome? Pipe, gin, tea and the cricket bat are out for me. (Sounds far too English)

The cane I see as becoming an IoT accessory by adding some sensors to detect the movement/contact with the pavement to guage your speed and use BLE to communicate.

It could incorporate some lighting so that when tapped in a certain manner lights up the end.

While it could incorporate other sensors, the idea is to keep it lightweight.

The Tea... Even though I'm a Brit I never liked Tea... And now I'm in Canada, the Northern Province of the USA (Or is that North America [View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-c2aa16cb-3066-4e0a-8545-1b40793a163f/6562.contentimage_5F00_1.png:16:16],) it is amazing how many people think Canada is part of the USA.

Anyway, I digress, So a facial recog system so when I enter the abode or get up in the morning the CoffeOmatic can brew the correct strength coffee for the time day and the appropriate size cup / mug etc. The Robot arm will get the mug from the rack of mugs on the wall

My Cane of course would be a 1M Lumen Military Flashlight for seeing my way at night and doubling up as a self defence system (How many 18650 batteries will fit the length of the cane ? )

My hat of course would have hidden surveillance in it with the obligatory auto tofter for the appropriate ladies.

My Jacket would be fully IoT with super computer, auto adjust etc. etc., like this one but designed for a Chap.
