Yes, the new site has some quirks, but then each migration since I joined has experienced a time of learning and familiarity before every got back into their normal post mode.

I haven't found a way to do the member link other than using Insert link. You can edit the 'Text to display' so that it's just the user name, if you don't want the URL displayed. Like this:

I've not had the issue you had in posting, but I've had the same experience in terms of finding stuff and seeing what is new. Like DougW, my participation is down because I just can't see very much new content: using the sitemap link at the bottom of a page gives a longer list of new content but from page 2 onwards it is intermixed with comments and so stuff is just lost. Given the number of comments some threads attract this could be a bit of a usability issue moving forwards. Hopefully, rejigging the way the home page lists work when the "View More Content" is pressed can be changed by the dev team.

In terms of entering comments, I've not had much issue except if I try and do it on an iPad. For example, I couldn't respond to this post from my iPad because the editing box just wouldn't appear under my name. I could hit "Reply" on a comment and that would show blank space where the editing box should be and a cursor, but no editing features and the font colour was white on a white background! No 'Comment' action button to press to actually submit the comment.

These articles appear on the main page. At the moment there is a delay with its refresh. It's one of the items in the known issues documant.

That mirrors my experience. I can't find anything like the material I used to find so participation is way down. Much of what I do find hangs around for days without getting superseded and they still don't receive as many views or comments as they would have BTS (before the switch). I'm having a bit better luck entering comments now, so hopefully others are too and general participation will pick up.
