Holy Cow! That was a blast from my (almost) youth!

1985 saw me start my 25 year military career - Bigger toys awaited!

I do remember that Tomy Sky Attack 3D, I also remember it was quite dire!

I'd also forgotten completely about pens with digital watches in them, so cool but so pointless.

Thanks for for the trip down memory lane.

Wow. Some of those bring back distant memories. Most are before my time though. In Christmas 1985 I'd only just become eligible to possess a Lego Fabuland kit (never owned one, I really wanted the Police Station instead).

I remember seeing Casio watches all over the place throughout the 80s and then the rise of G-Shock in the 90s. My favourite had to be the TV Remote Control watch, a purchase my parents rapidly regretted sanctioning.

Casio really perfected the watch technically.. waterproof, lasts for ages and more accurate than the Swiss watches, for a fraction of the cost!

No wonder everyone wore them.

It is nice that they are still available for those who wear watches.

The Game&Watch were excellent products too.. smaller than todays handheld games machines, and it didn't really matter that games couldn't be swapped out,

because each game was very addictive anyway!

This kinda of reminds me of the Radio Shack catalogue. I must have spent hours marking the items I wanted. Of course I had to whittle it down to just a few at most. Thank for the memories.

I've still got a Casio fx3600p calculator from that era, and it still works. Had the original versions of the Computer Battleships game (which took about as long to set up as it did to play) and the Lego train set. Parents didn't appreciate having a railroad running throughout the house however, even though I had left them 'stepping stones'.

I recall that digital watches and calculators used to be everywhere however. The John Menzies store used to have their square pillars covered in pocket calculators on all four sides. Must have been around 80 to 100 different models on display at a time.
