I would be very leery of putting any device like this anywhere near children.

You have no idea what chemicals have been used in its manufacture.

Then you have the issue of cleaning it after every use or risk all kinds of germs developing.

It's ridiculous and I struggle to believe these are legal - putting button batteries and other electronics in your mouth: how many kids end up in A&E having swallowed one every year. Actually, I know the "electronics" end shouldn't go in the mouth, but kids.... "Don't bite down too hard in case you break your teeth" = great marketing!

I've become really fed up with the e-waste being created. It's not even as if it's always small, tacky goods. Apple's MacBook range with a "User consumable battery" which the user can't actually change requires a new bottom case, keyboard and trackpad when Apple do it on your behalf. I expect other manufacturers who use glue-in batteries are pretty much the same. As for new phone and laptop models every year....
