I'd use mine to build a home security system which would monitor different entrances via webcam (& PIR sensor) which went triggered, would take a series of photos of the intruder & email it to my phone. I'd likely have it SSH'd so I can easily turn the system on/off, or hook it to an arduino with a RFDI reader, so I could just swipe it on/off without needing to tunnel in.

I will use this raspberry PI for my own Internet of Things project!!! It will work as a Gateway between a wireless mesh with some sensors and Web platform that will show all information and will control all nodes!!

I want to use a Raspberry Pi and a USB camera to build an astrophotography device.

The USB camera will be attach to the eyepiece of the telescope.

Major components:

- Raspberry Pi

- Telescope

- USB camera

- Wifi dongle

- LCD Screen with keyboard and mouse

- a computer with Stellarium software installed

Features:

- take photos of the sky

- provide a live video stream

- provide WWW server for remote control

My intention is to create a wereable tracking/localization device, in order to have a real time information on location. I am going to use a GPS sensor, and also I will create android app, so the information on location is presented on smartphone via google maps API.

Create a central monitoring station for people with disabilities. The central station would receive inputs form multiple sources and be able to relay them to someone on a phone. It could also be expanded to provide safety controls for doors and other potential issues that may arise.The framework would need to be scalable to handle multiple situations.
