Keep that Vintage term to yourself '77 is childhood not "Vintage".....EBAYers use that term grrr

Do you have a source of taped music or are you planning to transfer music from CD's or LP's?

I have several hundred hours of 1950s and 1960s era music on reel to reel tape. When I was a kid I couldn't afford to buy the 45 RPM pop records and albumns so I would borrow them from the rich kids and tape them. At the time I thought that the tape would last forever. Unfortunately the tape has lost some of its fidelity over time and the heads on my reel to reel decks have also worn so that additional fidelity has been lost. It is disappointing but an observation on the impermanence of our best technology.

I've also checked recording functionality, and that works too. It's not that often that you find a tape- or reel-to-reel deck that is free of issues
