If you are going to play with the UVC LEDs it is important to use eye and skin protection. The light is not visible and can cause cataracts, retinal damage, and cell damage. Probably the reason they are not so readily available and have industrial prices.

Regarding the UV light treatment:

In order to disinfect things, you need an UVC light, which has > 200 nm and < 300 nm wavelength. I have only seen LEDs marked as UV leds with > 380 nm in e-shops. These LEDs emit a visible violet UVA light. (Good for checking authenticity of paper bank notes etc and other things with reflective add-ons.) There are UVC light bulbs which are used in hospitals and medical rooms, but I am not sure where to get them and for what price.

Being Immune compromised I spend most of my time in self isolation (,fatigued and asleep) for the past few years.

I've also had my lifetime dosage of pneumonia vaccine so I am as prepared as best I can.

There's a COVID-19 hotspot very close to me so I have to be additionally vigilant.

Why not make some 3D stuff with your projects during this period?

If using UV light - be very careful as it can damage eyes and give you nasty burns with UV curing Resins.

It will be interesting to see how the on-line technology, and basic services often taken for granted, hold out in general as this unfolds.

As tech professionals we are lucky to have the option of working from home.

I've been working from home since late 1999, so our social distancing changes are mainly related to reducing trips to the store and not going to large gatherings.

Our area had our first confirmed case over the weekend, so people are finally taking it more seriously now.

For work, we use Slack and Google Hangouts. The Hangouts are easy because we use Google Calendar to schedule events, and it's nearly automatic to add the hangout.

Interesting tid bit, Steam hit the highest login users just this weekend. I am guessing that folks are looking for something to entertain themselves with. No meetings means lots of time!!!
