After testing both software, it seems that what you have used is good for the job, recording while the other is better (created for) real time video broadcasting.

This looked very interesting. I do not remember hearing about OBS before so do you have any more information on that plus more details on how you set everything up. That would be most useful. I may have to purchase a camera and try some of these ideas out.

Nice. I've used OBS for a couple of years now for my videos and it seems to work pretty good.

You may need to fiddle with the Sound and the Video format to get the best options that fit your needs.

What you can also try is setting up your displays as different scenes. Then when you want to switch what you are recording, you would just pick a different scene. If you watch some of the streaming gamers, this seems to be the method that they use.

Interesting... I haven't used either OBS Studio or CamTwist. I'm just using the Logitech Capture program that came with my webcam. I'll have to give these a try.

Han good idea. If you have a Mac, try also the open-source camtwist studio (CamTwist ) that has lot of more possibilities. Look at the videos on the site, it is very well done.
