I have a bunch of vises and maybe a few vices as well, but I use vises on pretty much every project I do.
They are the helping third hand that is always available and never complains.
They take all kinds of abuse wi

RE: A Vise Vice is a Nice Vice

I have this vice that my Dad gave me when he moved into a sheltered bungalow. I've no idea where it came from and it's pretty old (maybe a million years?)/ It's pretty floppy (a good technical term that) and I have never gotten around to bolting it to the bench. I keep telling myself that I'll rationalist my tools and then make a proper workbench and then bolt it down - sadly this has not yet happened. Maybe next week.

I use it when I have something, usually a piece of bent metal, that I want to hit with a big hammer so it is even more bent, or to straighten a slightly bent piece of metal. It works well.

In this case, that product link is a vacuum base, but I use mine with a traditional base mounted to a big chunk of HPDE.

That said, I really like the C-Clamp that the one you're showing has. That would be really handy.

RE: A Vise Vice is a Nice Vice

I see you also hava a PanaVise on the bench, one of my favorites.
