I would like to add, The Martian. Not sure if it is on the streaming services but phenomenal movie.

And you really cannot go wrong with anything on Disney+

And I would be surprised if the majority of us didn't grow up on Star trek or Star Wars!

I'm old enough that I enjoyed watching reruns of Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon in the 50's when I was a kid [View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-6912de7b-a5fc-4a52-ba9e-2cc81281aeac/contentimage_5F00_938.png:16:16] (the series were quite old at that point).

The movie that most inspired me and a lot of my friends in high school that ended up in engineering was 2001:A Space Odyssey with HAL (Heuristically Programmed ALgorithmic Computer).

I really enjoyed Halt and Catch Fire after someone on here recommended it.

I think The Martian probably deserves to make the list. I'm sure everyone will have their own recommendation.
