This is a podcast episode with a special guest, Olivier Bloch, who ran an IoT Show for more than five years!

The episode covers how Olivier got into a developer evangelist role, and his thoughts on how to get technology adopted and how even supplying "blinky" code for developers can help : )

It's a long episode (about 90 minutes), but very interesting hopefully!

It is available on Spotify, Apple, Anchor, Google Podcasts, and YouTube.

(We swapped around this podcast with another one, to keep some relevance to Embedded World too; there are some references to metaverse, but that will be covered in the next podcast).

Here we go, the optional dongle that was required later when syncing via the screen no longer worked.

I loved mine! It worked fine until video in PCs all changed and it couldn't sync any more.

Good deductive guesswork maxpowerr .

I acquired this gizmo quite a few years ago. I don't recall exactly the circumstances, but likely it was an impulse buy at a Dollar Store or a Factory Direct store. (because it looked like a lot of tech for a low price)

The chip inside is a COB (globbed chip-on-board).

There is one more test I want to do to see if I can resurrect it...

Two small batteries are not enough for this to be some kind of game. One battery is most likely needed to store the clock and date, and the second for the device to work. Also considering the fact that the company merangue produces calculators, so most likely, as I said earlier, this is most likely a calendar and a calculator.
