Cool project! One small note - instead of running arduino ide as root, add yourself to the group that has permission to access ttyACM0. https://askubuntu.com/a/1219515/108613

Nice post.

I would be interested in seeing some timing from when the signals are sent to when they are received at the node.

I am curious to see how repeatable the time delays are and if they are affected by any other ROS services.

Interesting balance platform.

The servos look a bit small for such a large platform. Let us know how well it works.

Great blog. The step by step instructions are clear. I have not looked at ROS before, good information. For a minute (or two) I was confused where the 32u4 / leonardo got wired-up, but then I remembered your previous blog that explained there was the 32u4 on the lattepanda SBC itself.
