Not guitar pickup, was trying to make a magnetic stirrer, so there were multiple coils to wind. But it didn't really work as the field was not strong enough. But it could pick up paper clips.

Now that is some cool shite! Simple yet elegant.

What motivated you to invest in the project? I have never found the need to wind my own coils. Developing a process to accomplish the task seems like a lot of work for one coil.

Guitar pickup I guess?

I have the exact same mill.. how are you finding it? I've had mine for 8 years now, never had issues with it, one of the best tool purchases I've ever made I think - love it.

It's got its limitations, but for my needs I don't regret buying it, I definitely got value-for-money out of it.

Very cool! Years ago, I did a very similar thing for my lathe, except I did not have a 3D printer and I used a mechanical counter.

What are the coils for? Building something interesting?
