hello good day i am also working on JFET colpitts oscillator and i am trying to define my nano-mechanical transistor using JFET colpitts oscillator, i read the paper and i am trying to to the frequency of 80 khz- 10Mhz of freqeuncy, could you help more in detail about this any help could be appreciated.

I remember doing Colpitts oscillators back in tech school.

Of course in those days, we built our circuits using triodes because the new fangled semiconductors were still too expensive.

We studied JFET devices, but did not get to handle them.

We saw an experiment where one of the instructors put a FET in place of a triode and it did work until it burned out.

It was clear even then that semiconductors would take over electronics and as my career progressed they did.

Still, depending upon who you talk to, there are still some applications where the old tube technology is still superior to semiconductor devices, which is guaranteed to start a good discussion between engineers.
