I don't think you are really supposed to use a blog to ask a question but given the way that most Arduino questions end up in the infinite "Ask Jermey Blum" thread (which he never responds to !!!) then I understand why you have.

Try using a Microchip MCP3301 - you can get them in 8 pinDIP packages and they are not obsolete like the ADC1205.
