Hi Martin, Analog Devices make waveform synthesis chips AD5932 and AD5930. They are modern digitally controlled chips. I've never used one but they are worth a look, if you want to check out an Arduino or RasPi project...Peter

I was first introduced to the ICL8038 chip by an Excellent on line tutorial site "Electronic Tutorials"

It is a shame that this chip is out of production as it is very flexible and fun to work with. You did a very nice job making a board and demonstrating it. Thanks for the great post.
