I've always loved subways, especially the Paris Metro trains with rubber tires.

I am not sure when I first developed my interest in science and engineering.

I do remember asking to go down to the gym to watch the live broadcasts of the early Mercury missions and just soaking up the science details they presented as they tried to fix problem after problem as they held the count down.

In those days, NASA presented a lot of visual simulations to describe the system components, the mission, the astronaut training, and discussion with the many engineers and scientists involved.

After that I was hooked and through the years I never lost my passion for science and engineering as I still do today.

The universe is an amazing place if you are willing to open your mind to the infinite possibilities.
